Northeast Ohio's Forklift Dealer Since 1956

Valley Industrial Trucks was founded in Youngstown, Ohio in 1956 and has spent the seventy years since doing one thing: keeping the region's material handling equipment working. What began as a local forklift dealer grew into a full-line material handling company covering 16 counties across Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania.

Today Valley operates two full-service dealerships — our Meadowbrook Avenue headquarters in Youngstown and our East Market Street location serving Akron and Canton — with factory-trained technicians, road-service trucks, and deep parts inventory covering the region from New Castle and Sharon, PA to Canton, Akron, and beyond.

Valley is employee-owned through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) — every employee is an owner. That shows up in the work: the technician fixing your forklift owns a piece of the company standing behind it. Our motto is "Think and Act Like the Owner You Are."

We service all makes and models, stock OEM parts, offer flexible rentals, and provide OSHA-compliant operator training — everything your operation needs, from one dealer you can trust.

Company History — Founded December 1956

1956

Valley Industrial Trucks, Inc. is founded in Youngstown, Ohio — selling, renting, and servicing forklift trucks for the Mahoning Valley's steel and manufacturing economy.

Growth

Valley expands beyond Youngstown with a second full-service dealership on East Market Street in Akron, extending sales, parts, and service coverage across the Akron–Canton corridor.

ESOP

Valley becomes employee-owned through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan — every employee is a member of the ESOP and an owner of the company. The motto: "Think and Act Like the Owner You Are."

Today

Valley is a factory-authorized dealer for CLARK, Bobcat®, Sellick, and Bulmor forklifts plus JLG and Genie aerial lifts — covering 16 counties across Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania, 70 years in and counting.
